A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgery performed to smoothen and tighten the skin and underlying facial muscles, giving your face a fresh and rejuvenated appearance. Aging, radiation from the sun, genetics, stress, and even gravity all contribute to the skin sagging. These aging changes are often accentuated around the jawline, smile lines, and cheeks. The incision is well hidden and made along the hairline of the temple, continuing behind the ear and extending to the lower scalp. The excess skin is removed and oftentimes facial fat can be redistributed or fat from other areas in your body can be transferred to the face to improve the overall contour. In order to give a more natural appearance, rather than a “pulled” overdone look, the underlying facial muscles are lifted as well to support the overlying skin. A facelift restores the facial tissues back to their youthful location and smoothens deep creases and lines to make you appear 10 to 15 years younger.

A necklift is a surgery that rejuvenates your neck by tightening its skin and underlying muscles. Excess skin and fat from the neck are removed as necessary. In doing so, it provides more definition to the jawline, smoothens unwanted skin creases, removes a double chin, recontours sagging jowls, and gets rid of the vertical bands on the neck. Often, it is most effective when combined with a facelift. The incision is placed behind the ear and sometimes underneath the chin, but are well-hidden and many times not visible at all once fully healed.

A browlift is a procedure that addresses the downward migration of the brows with aging. With muscle and tissue stretching over time, the brows drift down and can even lead to compensatory deep creases across the forehead. This can give you a “heavy”, angry, tired, or older facial appearance. The incisions are made within or along the hairline or along the hairline, depending on the length of your forehead. Sometimes, endoscopic surgery can be appropriate with smaller incisions for select candidates. Browlift surgery lifts and restores the brows to a youthful position, reduces deep forehead lines, slightly elevates the eyelids, and provides you with a rejuvenated facial appearance.

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, removes excess eyelid skin and fat to give you a more revitalized and well-rested look. A blepharoplasty can be performed on the upper lids, lower lids, or both customized to your specific needs. Many times it can improve vision and ease the tension and strain caused by the drooping eyelid skin. It is important that Dr. Golpanian goes through a thorough medical history with you to gain a better understanding of any vision or eye problems in your past that can affect the surgical plan and outcome. Depending on your specific concerns and anatomy, this procedure can act as a cosmetic and functional surgery. Eyelid surgery, when performed properly, can takes years off your appearance, improves vision, and provide you with an overall refreshed look.

Rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job”, is a surgery that redefines the size and shape of your nose. It is one of the most complex procedures within the world of plastic surgery, as one small surgical maneuver can have a profound effect on the overall appearance of the nose and even face. A rhinoplasty is technically a cosmetic procedure that corrects certain external complaints patients have such as a nasal bump, large or bulbous nasal tip, or a crooked nose. When there are functional issues such as a deviated septum or difficulty breathing, a “septorhinoplasty” can address both the inside and outside of the nose to improve the overall appearance and the problems with breathing. Depending on what your needs are, Dr. Golpanian can perform an “open” rhinoplasty, where incisions are placed inside and outside the nose, or “closed”—incisions are only inside the nostrils. When performed properly the results can leave you with a more proportional and aesthetic facial appearance. Rhinoplasty is a very customized procedure, and Dr. Golpanian is highly interested in discussing your specific goals to achieve your ideal nose profile, more self-confidence and a better quality of life.

Botulinum toxin type A is an injectable neurotoxin, better known under brand names such as Botox Cosmetic®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®. Neurotoxin treatments are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the U.S. and are mainly used to smooth dynamic wrinkles, or those wrinkles that form as a result of facial movements like frowning, smiling, squinting and other expressions we tend to make day after day. Treatment works by blocking nerve impulses to the muscles, causing them to relax. As a result, your expressions soften and the dynamic wrinkles are greatly reduced.
The procedure is considered safe and an effective way of treating aging skin and even preventing future wrinkle formation. Common areas for Botox; injections include forehead lines, vertical lines—or the “11”—between the eyebrows, and “crow’s feet” around the eyes.
Now you know that each of these products contain the same active ingredient: botulinum toxin type A, and are designed to address the same types of wrinkles and other cosmetic concerns. So what’s the difference between them? The main distinction lies in their formulation, which influences the dosage used, how much the product spreads, and how quickly a patient might see the results. For example, Botox Cosmetic is formulated with an accompanying protein. Dysport and Jeuveau contain similar proteins, while Xeomin doesn’t contain an accompanying protein at all. All four products are FDA-approved and have been used safely and effectively for some time. Which of these products is best for you will depend on your unique anatomy, your goals, and Dr. Golpanian’s recommendations.
The results begin to appear as soon as a few days to as late as a week. Neurotoxin injections last temporarily, anywhere from 3-6 months depending on the patient. Consistent injections however can lead to a more youthful and refreshed look and help with reducing formation of fine lines and wrinkles in the future.

Aging, radiation from the sun, gravity, stress, and some genetic factors all contribute to changes in one’s skin over time. Particularly over the face and neck, skin gradually begins to sag and wrinkle and the underlying fat begins to shrink. These changes can definitely make you feel much older than you really are, since the face is one of the first things people notice about you. Fillers are a temporary, non-surgical solution that can help reduce laugh or frown lines, augment temporal hollowing, and fill in areas of reduced facial fat. In younger individuals, fillers are often desired to plump up lips, augment and sculpt cheekbones, and enhance the overall contour of the face.
HA (hyaluronic acid) is the natural substance your body makes to hydrate and provide structure to the face. With aging, HA begins to weaken and reduce in number. This can lead to a weakened facial structure with the formation of lines and wrinkles. Often, a loss of facial fat volume can create a hollowed-out appearance in the face, making one look older and poorly-rested. The majority of facial fillers are based on HA, which simulates the body’s natural ability to moisturize and rejuvenate the skin. HA fillers can leave you looking years younger, with smoother and more supple skin.
Filler treatments take less than an hour, are usually painless, require no downtime, and provide outstanding results that can last up to a year, and in some cases, even up to two years.

Morpheus8 is a microneedling device that utilizes radiofrequency energy to remodel and contour the face and body via subdermal adipose remodeling. This fractional treatment penetrates deep into the skin and fat for a smoother and sleeker appearance. Morpheus8 can be combined with PRP for optimal results.
Morpheus8 is a device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology for fractional resurfacing that stimulates collagen production. RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled manner to revitalize the collagen. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. There is little to no damage to the dermis and this procedure provides an extremely uniform effect.
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face and body that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face and neck, as well as the abdomen which is beneficial for tightening loose skin with underlying fatty tissue. The benefit of Morpheus8’s color blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is common with other resurfacing methods.
Morpheus8 usually requires 3, sometimes 4, treatment sessions. Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters. This treatment helps to improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.
